The Haircut
BEFORE
DURING
AFTER
Someone told me that they were always sad when they gave their baby boys their first haircut because they no longer looked like babies anymore. I thought it wouldn't apply because the kid has so much hair but it's true!

Halloween
Say heeellllooooo to baby Elvis (younger days Elvis mind you)
So apparently today is Elvis' birthday and he would have been 75. That means he could have still been alive today under normal circumstances. How weird is that?
Here is the perfect angel
Here she is in action
Please don't judge me by the streaks on my mirror...or maybe it is just your computer screen that looks really dirty.

I know everyone has been there & done this but here are some pics of our fall canyon & pumpkin patch adventure.
I tried to get a good picture with the kids but have you ever tried to get a good photo of a 2 year old & a baby at the same time? Here are some outtakes.

Here are some relatively decent ones

And here are my still shots which I consider considerably easier to take

As for the pumpkin patch, we didn't really need a pumpkin but I thought it would be a fun Halloweeny thing to do with the kids. These are high voltage action shots as once again comes the impossibility of getting a 2 year old to hold still

This is what this one thought about the pumpkin patch
For those of you who think my spouse is not just an absolute angel here is a picture to prove he just might be
Or maybe it's the baby...
I just like the rest of these pics so you get to share in my likiness

I'm not really a fall lover as it just means bleak weather to me but I do love the oranginess of it all.
Random thought: Lately my #1 has been waking up in the morning & the first things she says is 'I'm soooo happy - I'm soooo happy'. That makes me happy.

The Early Morning Adventure

So I've been a little paranoid about the Swine Flu since I found out one of the girls I teach dance to contracted it. My pediatrician had told me it would be a good idea for all of us to get the flu shot since those under 6 months can't get it & they are high risk.
So when I found out they were doing a big blitz this Saturday on giving out flu shots at certain health departments I decided we probably needed to break down and go get it.
The clinics started at 7:00 on Saturday morning. That's right. That meant dragging ourselves out of our comfortable bed at the wee hour of a Saturday morn, packing up the kids and heading out.
We actually did not leave until about 7:30 and we weren't quite sure what we would find, but as we turned up the road it became abundantly clear what we were to expect.
That's right, about the longest line I've ever seen in my life. The cars were parked all the way down to Hunter High & the clinic was almost at the top of 47th. I'm not sure how long the line actually went as it eventually turned into a neighborhood, but I can tell you it was 1/2 way down 56th and that is with it wrapping around the building.
Well when we saw this we promptly drove past and headed to have breakfast at the Belgian Waffle as we knew there was no way we were going to stand in line, let alone even have a chance to get the shot.
Oh well...I guess I will just keep fetishly washing my hands.
By the way...Obama has officially declared the swine flu a national emergency. Hmmm...thanks Obama.

Remember when?
Does anyone remember when they were 2? I sure don't. I bet most of you don't. I was pondering this today and I came up with the only reason why this might be is because we were so horrible to our parents that we blocked it from our minds. At least I think that is the reason my number 1 child is going to go with when she's older...
I guess I will take a stinker now as long as she is good when she's older. Here's to crossing my fingers.

Super Cooper (The Pooper)
I figured since there are a few people from out of state that don't get to see Cooper much I would post some newer pictures of him, so here they are:
